Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday launched the logo and tagline for Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’, which is scheduled to start on January 14 from Manipur.

The tagline reads ‘Nyay Ka Haq Milne Tak’ expresses the protest against the Centre which failed to give the Indian Nationala Congress a chance to raise issues in the Parliament during the Winter Session in December, said Kharge. He added that the yatra will give the party an opportunity to talk to the people and listen to them.

The Manipur-Maharashtra yatra is expected to cover 6,713 km across 110 districts, 100 Lok Sabha seats and 337 assembly segments in 66 days. It will “focus on basic social, political and economic issues of the country,” Kharge told the press, adding that allies in the INDIA bloc and others have also been invited to join the march.

Kharge slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying unfortunate incidents have taken place in Manipur and the PM who speaks everywhere and does photo sessions has failed to visit the state.

He also attacked the government for allegedly misusing the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department to threaten opposition leaders and party members. Kharge added that the new labour and criminal laws show sign of dictatorship.

Regarding the Ram temple consecration ceremony on January 22, Kharge said he was invited for the event but was yet to decide on whether to go.
