The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed Chandrababu Naidu to participate in public rallies, and meetings. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered the BRS government in Telangana to stop disbursing all financial aid to farmers under the Rythu Bandhu Scheme over violation of the Model Code of Conduct. The poll panel had earlier allowed the KCR government to proceed with disbursing the rabi instalment under the condition that it should not publish the disbursement as the poll code was in place. A new report by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) says that the ongoing air pollution in Delhi-NCR is being worsened by the intransigence of thermal power plants, most of which are not complying with emission control norms. “Delhi and NCR cannot meet the clean air benchmark and protect public health if the continuous sources of pollution like thermal power plants remain high emitters.
