The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted raids across multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir as part of its crackdown on the proscribed Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) in a terror funding case. Four people died and over 100, primarily police personnel, were injured in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani after violence broke out on Thursday over the demolition of an “illegally-built” madrasa and an adjoining mosque.
