Hitting out at the non-BJP Chief Minister’s, who have been challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance, Tamil Nadu BJP chief and former IPS cadre officer-turned-politician Annamalai Kuppuswamy accused that four chief ministers, including Telangana’s KCR have been suffering with `dictatorship’ syndrome.

Speaking at a public meeting organized by Telangana BJP in Jogulamba Gadwal district, on the eight-day of state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay’s second phase of Praja Sangram Yatra, he hails that Modi has been addressing concerns of the poor and providing corruption-free governance.

Lamenting KCR as betraying the aspirations and hopes of Telangana people, who had struggled for a separate state, he asserted that only a BJP rule in the state can ensure to meet the aspirations of the people, include irrigation, employment and poverty-elevation.

Lamenting KCR regime is ridden with corruption, he said that only chief minister in the entire country, who will not visit Secretariat is KCR. KCR is interested only in the well-being of his family, particularly his son and daughter, he said that he is hardly bothered about people of the state.

Sanjay accused that KCR’s regime is deliberately neglecting the irrigation projects in Southern Telangana, particularly in the drought-prone Mahabubnagar district.

Sanjay regretted that the district, which was located between two major rivers – Krishna and Tungabhadra – was lacking proper irrigation facilities. He reminded that during the combined Andhra Pradesh regime, KCR had vowed to make it a fertile land if the Telangana statehood was realised. But even after eight years, not drop of water had reached this district and not a piece of land got water for irrigation additionally, he added.

“While he spent over a lakh crore rupees to bring Godavari water to his farmhouse from a distance of 200 km, he had not spent even Rs 1,000-2,000 crore on the projects in Mahabubnagar district that would have completed ongoing projects like Nettempadu, Bhima, Kalwakurthy, Koilsagar and distributory canal works. But he has no heart to complete these projects,” he said.

Sanjay announced that the Center has decided to take up modernisatoin of Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS) project, that will meet irrigation problems of this area, which was ignored by KCR for the last eight years. Within six months, he promised that will be completed and provide irrigation to 87,500 acres in Alampur and Gadwal assembly constituencies.
