KCR has no moral courage to face PM Modi, says Sanjay

BJP state president Bandi Sanjay alleged that KCR has decided to boycott the NITI Aayog general council meeting scheduled to be held in New Delhi on Sunday, as he has no moral courage to face Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reacting strongly to KCR’s comments against NITI Aayog at his press conference held at Pragati Bhavan in the afternoon, Sanjay alleged that the chief minister was citing lame excuses to stay away from the meeting.

“If he really has sincerity, he could raise all his concerns at the NITI Aayog meeting itself. But he doesn’t want to attend the meeting because he has no guts to face Modi,” he added.

He alleged that the Telangana chief minister hardly had attended any official meetings called by the Centre in the last eight years. “He goes to Delhi only for his political gains, holding meetings with other opposition parties and for health reasons. He never went to the national capital to discuss the people’s issues with the Centre,”  he said.

He reminded that KCR had earlier praised the role of NITI Aayog in the country’s development in the past. “If it recommends more funds to the state, he praises it. If it imposes restrictions, he abuses it. This is nothing but insulting the democratic institutions,” he criticised.

“NITI Aayog has been giving strategic and technical advice to the Centre and the states on various policy issues to make India a strong economy. It doesn’t work exclusively for KCR or Telangana,” he added.
