Karnataka former chief minister and BJP leader B.S. Yeddyurappa called upon the people of Telangana not to fall in the trap of false promises of Congress party stating that it has been failing to implement the promises.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Thursday, Yeddyurappa said that Congress party has been following the model of Karnataka to win elections in Telangana as well but it had failed implement its promises in the neighbouring state.

“Congress following Karnataka model two win elections in Telangana. The party deceived voters after winning elections in Karnataka. It has announced five guarantees scheme there and here its six guarantee scheme” he said.

He lamented that Congress do not get carried away by the empty promises in Karnataka and unemployment allowance of Rs. 3000 for graduates and Rs. 2,500 for diploma holders was not launched so far.

Informing that Gruaha Lakshmi under which Rs. 2,000 for women in BPL families is not reaching all.  Stating that  1.16 crore beneficiaries were registered under the scheme and it requires Rs. 2300 crore per month, the former chief minister said that it was lunched in August.

For the past for months it has to pay Rs. 9,200 crore for the past four months but only Rs. 2119 crore was distributed and people are complaining that money is being being transferred to their accounts,he said adding that Government is blaming procedural and technical issues.

“Coming to Free travel on an average 84 lakh women travel every day. Government failed to clear the arrears to KSRTC, it has reduced the RTC buses in rural areas. Under Gruha Jyothi they have offered  200 units free power and later stated that it will be for those who consumed less than 200 units”.

“Government not paying money to Discoms.  Out o f the total dues of Rs. 8,506 corre it has released Rs. 1,500 crore. Anna Bhagya scheme is also not being implemented properly as there was no proper procurement. Do not fall in the trap of Congress party,” appealed Yeddyurappa and urged people to vote for BJP for all round development.
