Addressing a massive BJP rally in Khammam of Telangana on Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah targetted Congress and ruling BRS during his address at the rally saying the grand old party is 4G party while KCR’s led party is 2G.
“Congress party is 4G party which means four generation party (Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi), BRS is 2G party which means two generation party (KCR and later KTR), but this time neither 2G will win nor 4G will win because its time for BJP to come (in power in Telangana)..,” he added.
“Neither 2G will come, 3G will come nor 4G will come. Now is the turn of the lotus,” Shah said. BRS destroyed the dreams of several people who lost their lives during the separate statehood, Shah charged. Election is round the corner and the BJP is going to form the government, Shah said exuding confidence that BJP will form the government in Telangana in the upcoming Assembly polls.
“The future Chief Minister of Telangana will be from the BJP under the leadership of PM Modi,” he added. The rally was organised by the BJP to highlight the plight of the farmers in the state.
The Telangana BJP chief, G Kishan Reddy, has alleged that the farmers in the state have been neglected by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government for the last nine years.
He has said that the farmers have suffered huge losses due to natural calamities and that the government has not provided them with any relief. “Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address the farmers of Telangana on August 27 in Khammam,” G Kishan Reddy told ANI on August 24.
Shah’s rally is seen as a part of the BJP’s preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana, which are due to be held in December 2023. The BJP is hoping to make inroads into the state, which is currently ruled by the TRS.
