TMC synonymous with atrocities and betrayal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a scathing attack against the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal on Saturday and said the party has become synonymous with atrocities and betrayal. He added even after getting voted to power repeatedly, TMC has totally disappointed the state and its people.

Addressing a rally at Krishnanagar Prime Minister said, “The way TMC is working here, they have disappointed the people of West Bengal. People have continuously voted for TMC but this party has become another name for atrocities and betrayal. TMC means betrayal, corruption and ‘parivarvad’.”

Modi charged that the Mamata Banerjee-led party is using women as their vote bank. “Using the slogan of ‘Maa, Maati, Manush’, the TMC government used the women of Bengal as a vote bank. Today, Maa, Maati as well as Maanush, all are displeased by the TMC mode of governance. Women of Sandeshkhali kept asking for justice, yet the state government did not hear them. In Bengal, the police do not decide when a criminal must be arrested, it’s the criminal who decides everything for himself.” He added, “The state government did not want the accused in the Sandeshkhali incident to be arrested.”

Modi said despite allotting AIIMS for West Bengal at Kalyani, the state government is stalling the project citing environmental clearances. “The first AIIMS of West Bengal is an example of what the state government is doing here. Modi had given a guarantee of giving West Bengal its first AIIMS. A few days back, I virtually inaugurated the AIIMS in Kalyani. However, the West Bengal government has a problem with it. It was not giving it environmental clearance. If the TMC government is not getting commission, then it stops all permission. First commission and then permission,” slammed Modi.
