T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule has been released for the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in June this year. A total of 55 matches are to be played in the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held on a total of 9 grounds in West Indies and USA.
The opening match of T20 World Cup 2024 will be held between hosts USA and Canada on June 1. The semi-final matches will be held on 26th and 27th June. The final match is to be played in Barbados on 29 June. Reserve day has also been kept for the semi-final and final matches.
The Indian team has been placed in Group A along with Ireland, Pakistan, USA and Canada. The first three group matches of the Indian team will be held in New York. The Indian team will play its first match against Ireland on June 5. Its second match will be against Pakistan on June 9. Whereas the Indian team will play its third group match against USA on June 12. India’s last group match is against Canada on June 15.

The format of T20 World Cup 2024 will be like this
The upcoming T20 World Cup is to be played in West Indies and USA from June 1 to June 29. The 20-team tournament will be played in a total of 3 stages including knockout. All 20 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 5 each. The top-2 teams of each group will enter the Super-8. After this, all the 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups of 4 each. In the Super-8 stage, the top two teams of both the groups will enter the semi-finals. Two teams will make it to the finals through two semi-final matches.

Group A- India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, USA
Group B- England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman
Group C- New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea
Group D- South Africa , Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
The upcoming T20 World Cup will be quite different from the previous T20 World Cup and qualifying rounds will not be played in it nor will there be a Super-12 stage. A total of 16 teams participated in the last T20 World Cup, out of which 8 teams got direct entry for the Super-12 stage. Four teams had made it to the Super-12 through the qualifying round.
