Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence that the NDA government will be formed in Andhra Pradesh and also in Delhi. He said this is the first time that elections are held in AP for the first with a slogan of Vikasit Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing election rallies in Rajahmundry and Anakapalli of Andhra Pradesh on Monday, he emphasized the need for a double engine government in Andhra Pradesh for development.
He said that the YSR Congress Party got an opportunity of five years to work for the people which they wasted and led the state lagging in development. He highlighted that in Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure the state was leading in the development journey but YSRCP derailed it.
He said, “NDA is the only guarantee of development in Andhra Pradesh and across India.” He further said that central projects were deliberately delayed and people’s welfare was compromised in Andhra Pradesh.
He criticized the current YSRCP government, accusing them of corruption and neglecting development. Modi expressed confidence in the NDA alliance’s ability to come to power both in the country and the state. He highlighted the need for central projects to be implemented promptly and criticized the state government for delaying them.
Lamenting the financial management of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, he accused him of pushing the state into debt trap and failure to complete Polavaram project. But, he blamed that CM Jagan looted the state.
Modi deplored that Chief Minister kept capital Amaravati city into cold storage promising three- capitals, but failed to complete even one capital. Modi also attacked the Congress party, blaming them for past failures and corruption. Modi pledged support for the development of Andhra Pradesh, promising to prioritise crucial infrastructure projects like the Visakha-Chennai corridor and the Chennai-Kolkata highway.
The Prime Minister urged the people of Andhra Pradesh to vote for the NDA alliance candidates in the upcoming elections for a brighter future for the state. Modi assured that the alliance had his guarantee, Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, and Pawan Kalyan’s faith in driving progress and prosperity in Andhra Pradesh.
