Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday lauded the improved law & order situation in the state under the BJP-led government saying that no mafia or gangster can now threaten any industrialist or people adding the state is now riot free as no curfew has been imposed in the past six years.
This was Chief Minister’s first public statement after gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead by three shooters in Prayagraj on Saturday.
There is no need to be scared of any mafia or gangster in the state, as they cannot threaten any industrialist over the phone anymore. Before 2014, the law and order situation in the state was in a mess. Some places were only known for riots as violence used to happen every other day.
Speaking on the development work in the state, CM Yogi said that the work on Ganga Expressway is underway and they are trying to complete it by 2025 before the Kumbh mela. He further said that the government is trying to provide as many facilities to industrialists and businesses. Uttar Pradesh now has 4-lane interstate connectivity.
Speaking on the electricity situation in the state, CM Yogi said that earlier only 4 major districts in the state had adequate power supply, however, this changed after the BJP government came to power and now all the districts have 24X7 power supply.
Between 2017 and 2023, not even a single riot has taken place in Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi further said that the railways’ freight corridor passes through Uttar Pradesh whereas exports from the state have increased to 1.75 lakh crores.
