Ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections in Telangana and Chhattisgarh, India TV has conducted Opinion Polls to gauge the mood of the voters and predict which political party has an edge in these two states. According to the survey, KCR is all set to be Chief Minister for the third time in Telangana as the BRS is likely to cross the majority mark.
The BRS is likely to win 70 seats in Telangana, and Congress and BJP may win 34 and 7 seats respectively. Owaisi’s AIMIM is to retain 7 seats. Meanwhile, in Chhattisgarh, the Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress is set to retain the state once again. The party is likely to win 50 seats in the state. However, the BJP may win 38 seats. Polling in Telangana to elect the 119-member Legislative Assembly of the state will be held on November 30. Meanwhile, the polling in Chhattisgarh will take place in two phases.
The first phase of polling for 20 seats will take place on November 7. The remaining 70 seats in the state will go to polls on November 17. The counting of results is scheduled for December 3.
As per the India TV-CNX Opinion Poll, the Congress is likely to win 50 seats in Chhattisgarh, the BJP may win 38. Meanwhile, two seats could go to Others in the state. The Congress party is likely to lose 18 seats in Chhattisgarh, while BJP may gain 23 seats.
The BRS is likely to lose 18 seats in Telangana, and Congress and BJP may gain 15 and 6 seats respectively. BRS is likely to win 70 seats in the state, and Congress and BJP may win 34 and 7 seats respectively. Owaisi’s AIMIM to retain 7 seats.
The BRS seems to be leading in Greater Hyderabad, likely to win 13 seats. Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM may win 7 seats followed by Congress (5) and the BJP (3). There are 28 Assembly seats in Telangana’s Greater Hyderabad region.
KCR-led BRS is leading in the Lower Telangana region also and is projected to win at least 30 seats. Meanwhile, Congress may win 12 seats. Parties like BJP, and AIMIM seems to be not winning any seat in this region. There are 42 Assembly seats in Telangana’s Lower Telangana region.
The BRS seems to be leading in the Upper Telangana region also as the party is likely to win 27 seats. Meanwhile, Congress is expected to win 17 seats in the region, and the BJP may get 4 seats. There are 49 Assembly seats in Telangana’s Upper Telangana region.
