Union Finance Minister and BJP senior leader Niramala Sitharaman accused that KCR government has failed to manage fiscal and debt management. Taking part in BJP poll campaign in Hyderabad city on Tuesday, he recalled that the Telangana was formed on three foundation principles – Water, funds and jobs
But, she lamented that in all these fronts the State has failed and revenue surplus State has become debt ridden. Hyderabad which has an investment for several decades as capital with potential investment for future with skilled and trained youth for employment has now become revenue deficit, she added .
She said that next two/ three generation of Telangana have to pay the debt taken by the present government. “Coming to water, we had seen the fate of Kaleshwaram of which the investment increased three times to more than Rs. 1.2 lakh crore. Poor quality of construction reflected with sinking of pillars and it will be flooding if some more pillars were sunk”, she added.
‘What happened to social justice? If not Chief Minister post, the deputy CM of Telangana Tatikonda Rajaiah was removed from the position within one year. Why only Rs. 76 crore was spent out of the total allocation of Rs. 3,300 crore?” she asked explaining how the education sector was neglected in Telangana by not filling the vacant posts. She said that more than 6000 farmers had committed suicide in Telangana after formation of state.
Responding to a question, the Union Minister said that they have filled about 8 lakh posts across the country and anther two lakh jobs will be filled in the next two months. She said that though Biswal Committee has mentioned about 1.9 lakh vacant positions in the State, they were not fulfilled.
She said that those in the riling did not feel shy of TSPSC recruitment papers getting leaked for 17 times and the inflation in the state was very high crossing the national figures. She has also explained about various issues mentioned in the manifesto and said that Telangana Liberation Day will be observed by the party officially after coming to power.
“Power Generation companies are at receiving end as the Discoms are unable to pay to them for the power being supplied. We have not stopped any funding for not fixing metres to motors as alleged by the BRS leaders”, she added.
The Union Minister said that it was not mandatory to fix metres for agriculture motors but if any state government wants to get more loans than permissible limits they have to follow certain reforms like how much power was consumed at what source and how much bill is being paid for that.
