During its year-long Presidency of the powerful organisation, India is slated to hold around 200 G20 meetings, culminating in an annual summit on September 9 and 10, 2023. India will hold the G20 Presidency for one year, from December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023.
Beginning in December 2022, India is slated to host over 200 G20 meetings across the country, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The G20 Leaders’ Summit at the level of Heads of State/Government is scheduled to be held on September 9 and 10, 2023, in New Delhi.
Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union are all members.
The G20 represents 85% of global GDP, 75% of international trade, and two-thirds of the world population, making it the preeminent forum for worldwide economic cooperation.
India, as G20 President, will invite as guest countries Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE, in addition to regular international organisations such as the UN, IMF, World Bank, World Health Organization, World Trade Organization, and International Labour Organization, among others.
