BJP senior leader and Home Minister Amit Shah said that an inquiry by retired Supreme Court judge will be ordered on the corruption of BRS after party coming to power in the state and all those involved will be sent to jail.
Speaking to reporters after releasing the election manifesto of the party here on Saturday along with former union minister Prakah Javadekar and state president G Kishan Reddy, the Home Minister said that the manifesto is a guarantee by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of Telangana.
“The track record of BJP was such either at Centre or States that we will fulfil our promises within the five years our tenure- whether it is article 370, Rama mandir or triple talaq- when we were given complete majority. Coming to Telangana, we have accorded Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Jarkhand without any bloodshed and no fights among any section”, he said.
He said that “Congress never supported Telangana. When BJP passed a resolution for Telangana in Kakinada with ‘One vote two states,’ we have supported from then on and participated in the agitation as well,” he added.
Informing that the Prime Minister Narnedra Modi has extended all the required support to Telangana, the BJP leader said that Centre has given Rs. 2.5 lakh crore for Telangana in the last nine years whereas the amount extended by previous UPA Government to combined Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2014 was only Rs. 2 lakh crore. Rs. 900 crore wroth Sammakka Sarakka University, turmeric board and Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal -2 were also recently approved by Modi, he added.
Accusing that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has failed to observe Vimochana Dinotsavam fearing MIM, the Union Home Minister said that the democracy in the state has become ‘loot tantr’ and his only goal is to make his son as Chief Minister.
“This manifesto is PM Modi’s guarantee. We have always fulfilled the promises we have made, kept our promises and fulfilled our promises after getting full majority. Congress had never supported the separate state and when the hasty division was carried out, it gave Telangana in an unnatural manner,” he said.
