In a major development in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi case, the Allahabad High Court on Thursday approved the survey of the Shahi Idgah complex in Mathura. The court accepted the petition of the Hindu side and approved the court commission survey of the Shahi Idgah complex.

Earlier in the day, Chief Priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Acharya Satyendra Das said, “It’s good that the verdict will come. The survey is important… The survey clearly shows the facts…”

Vishnu Shankar Jain, the lawyer for the Hindu side said, “Allahabad HC has allowed our application where we had demanded survey of (Shahi Idgah Masjid) by advocate commissioner. The modalities will be decided on December 18.”

The court has appointed three advocates as commissioners and ordered them to survey the disputed premises. Allahabad HC’s single-bench Justice Mayank Kumar Jain gave the order. An application under order 26 rule 9 was filed in the High Court on behalf of Shri Krishna Virajman.

In the application, a demand was made to conduct the survey by an Advocate Commissioner. The application was argued in the High Court by Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain on behalf of Shri Krishna Virajman. The court is hearing all the 18 petitions related to the Mathura dispute transferred from Mathura District Court.

On the lines of the Ayodhya-Janmabhoomi dispute, the trial of the Mathura dispute is being held in Allahabad High Court. The High Court also summoned files of all the cases pending in the Mathura District Court.

The leading suit has been filed in the High Court on behalf of Ranjan Agnihotri in the name of Lord Shri Krishna Virajman Katra Keshav Dev. In the petitions, the agreement signed on October 12, 1968 has been declared illegal.

Along with this, under the agreement, a demand has been made to hand over the 13.37 acres of land given to the Shahi Idgah Mosque to Lord Shri Krishna temple. A demand has also been made to remove the illegally built Shahi Idgah Mosque.

Shahi Idgah Mosque, UP Sunni Central Waqf Board, Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Seva Sangh and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Sangh have been made parties in this case. The court will hear other petitions filed in the High Court on December 18.
