The World Bank retained its growth forecast for India at 6.6% for FY25. “India will remain the fastest growing of the world’s largest economies, although its pace of expansion is expected to moderate. After a high growth rate in 2023-24, steady growth of 6.7% per year, on average, is projected for the three fiscal years beginning in FY25,” stated the bank in its latest biannual Global Economic Prospects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to Italy on Thursday to attend the annual summit of G7 advanced economies on his first trip abroad after assuming office for the third straight term.
