A surveillance system installed at the National Highways Authority of India headquarters at Dwarka keeps track of the health of all the computers in its network, flagging attempts to hack into the system, malware in systems within the network, or malfunctioning programme being used. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has constituted an advisory council to help India achieve its goal of being a US$ 300 billion electronics manufacturing hub by 2026. The board, called the “Digital India Electronics Mission $300 Billion,” is made up of representatives from key domestic and international electronics companies as well as industry associations. Road accidents parameters registered a significant decline in 2020 compared to 2019. Total accidents decreased on an average by 18.46 per cent, the number of persons killed decreased by 12.84 per cent and the number of injures decreased by 22.84 per cent over previous year’s average. Continuing its streak of significant seizures, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has recovered 52 kg of cocaine, estimated to be valued at over Rs 500 crore in the international illicit market, from an import consignment. On the basis of extensive data analysis and field surveillance, intelligence was developed by DRI that certain consignments being imported from Iran were likely to contain narcotic drugs.
