The Enforcement Directorate (ED), on Wednesday, temporarily sealed the premises of Young Indian (YI) in the Congress-owned National Herald office in Delhi as part of an ongoing money laundering investigation. The Ministry of MSME celebrated the landmark of 1 crore registrations on its Udyam Portal. Following the adoption of the revised definition of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on 26th June, 2020, which is based on investment in plant & machinery or equipment; and turnover, the Udyam Registration Portal was launched on 1st July, 2020. According to an S&P Global survey, manufacturing activity in India increased in July at the fastest rate in eight months as a result of new business orders and production. S&P Global India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) jumped to 56.4 in July from 53.9 in June. A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while below 50 denotes contraction. The gross GST revenue collected in the month of July 2022 isRs 1,48,995 crore, of which CGST is Rs 25,751 crore, SGST is Rs 32,807 crore, IGST is Rs 79,518 crore (including Rs 41,420 crore collected on import of goods) and cess is Rs 10,920 crore (including Rs 995 crore collected on import of goods).
