According to RBI statistics, bank credit growth surged to 14.2% in the quarter ending June 2022, up from 6% in the same period the previous year. From January-March 2022, bank credit had expanded by 10.8%. During the last five quarters, aggregate deposit growth (year on year) has maintained in the 9.5 – 10.2% range.
