At least five Army personnel were charred to death after unidentified terrorists fired upon vehicle moving between Bhimber Gali and Poonch in the Rajouri sector in Jammu and Kashmir. The vehicle caught fire, due to the likely use of grenades by terrorist reports said. In the fiscal year 2022–23, the purchases by government organisations from micro and small businesses (MSEs) reached a record high. According to the official data, central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) purchased goods and services from 2.16 lakh MSEs for a total of US$ 7.12 billion (Rs. 58,429 crore) during FY23, an increase of 9.3% in purchases made from 2.25 lakh MSEs during FY22.
