Over nine people died after a fire tore through an apartment complex at Nampally in Hyderabad on Monday. The deceased were in the age group of six and 66. The incident happened around 9:30 and the deaths were due to asphyxiation, officials said based on preliminary information. India voted in favour of a resolution at the United Nations General Assembly condemning Israel’s settlements activities in Palestine territory. As many as 145 countries supported the resolution while seven countries including the United States and Canada voted against it. Eighteen countries abstained from voting.
