Five police personnel were suspended by the Manipur Police in connection to the incident where two women were stripped and paraded naked by a mob on May 4 this year. According to officials, immediately after the video of the incident surfaced on July 19, Manipur police decided to suspend the station in-charge of Nongpok Sekmai police station in Thoubal district and four other police personnel. India’s ambitious third moon mission, Chandrayaan-3 was successfully inserted into the lunar orbit on Saturday, the ISRO said. The required manoeuvre was done from an ISRO facility here, the city-headquartered space agency said in a tweet. “Chandrayaan-3 has been successfully inserted into the lunar orbit. A retro-burning at the Perilune was commanded from the Mission Operations Complex (MOX), ISTRAC (ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network), Bengaluru,” the agency said in a tweet. An Islamabad trial court on Saturday declared former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan guilty of “corrupt practices” in the Toshakhana case and disqualified him from politics for five years.
