Accusing the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government of miserably failing to protect the law and order in the state, Bharatiya Janata Party reiterated its demand for handing over the case of minor girl’s rape in the heart of Hyderabad to Central Bureau Investigation (CBI).

Speaking to reporters, BJP national general secretaryand  in-charge of Telangana affairs Tarun Chugh alleged that the law and order situation in the state had completely deteriorated and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had totally failed in preventing murders and atrocities on women.

“There is a virtual jungle raj in the state. There is no justice to the people and the girl children in Telangana have no safety and security,” he said. Chugh said there was a conspiracy by the government to shield the real culprits in the Jubilee Hills minor girl rape case and the police were deliberately diluting the case.

“It is unfortunate that the chief minister has not made a single statement when such a heinous incident took place in the heart of the city. He has confined himself to the farmhouse and is completely immersed in politics. While his son is busy with Twitter, nobody knows whether is a home minister for the state or not,” he criticised.

State BJP president Bandi Sanjay deplored that the police had completely watered down the Jubilee Hills minor girl rape case. “The police have registered the case against the AIMIM MLA’s son only after ensuring that all the evidences pertaining to the rape were wiped out,” he said.

Accusing the police of deliberately delaying the investigation in the case, Sanjay alleged that the police had included the name of a Hindu boy Suraj in the FIR only to mislead the people. “The police had tried to save the MLA’s son, but it was only after the BJP exposed the evidence, they included his name in the case as the last accused. Otherwise, they would have closed the case,” he added.

The BJP president said the police had acted as per the directions from the chief minister’s office and protected the rich and influential. “The TRS and the MIM leaders have been looting the state. While the MIM leaders were committing atrocities, the TRS leaders are indulging in murders,” he said.
