At the conclusion of  three-day Samanvay baithak (co-ordination meeting) of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dr Vaidya in a media conference said that Sangh shakhas, which were closed during the first pandemic have restarted now. Compared to October, 2019,  Sangh work has restarted in 93% places, he added.

Stressing that a large number of youth are attending RSS Shakhas, he said 55000 shakhas arenning, of which  60 per cent are  for students/youths and the remaining  40 are for others.

He said that these meetings are held every year in September and January, only to exchange views and share information of activities in various fields, but no police decision will be taken.
RSS Sar Sangh Chalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat and Sar Karyavaha Dattatreya Hosabale guided the proceedings.

216 representatives, including 24 women from 36 independent and autonomous organisations have participated in the proceedings, besides all office bearers of RSS.

According to Dr Vaidya, the representatives deliberated on malnutrition eradication esp among children and initiatives for employment generation. Discussions were held on initiatives for Bharat centric education.

In this year of Swaraj 75, the contributions of thousands of unsung heroes including those from the SC, STs need to be recognized. 250 such valorous lives have been documented by the organizations working among intellectuals. 75 skits and dramas have been made by Sanskar Bharati. In preparation of the third wave of Covid 10 Lakh people 6000 development blocks have been trained.

Dr. Vaidya explained that Sangh is in the work of consolidating the entire society and an aware society will solve problems. Bharat has historically not been a welfare state and whenever necessary the society has sought assistance from the government, Rabindranath Tagore expressed the same in his ‘Swadeshi Samaaj’, he added.

Diversity should not be seen as differences, he said. Bharat’s tradition has been focussing on spiritual oneness. National Education Policy has expressed our spiritual diversity from across the country. He said that Swayamsevaks through Samajika Samarasta initiatives are working to eradicate caste discrimination and social harmony. Intellectuals across the country are bringing awareness for decolonization in all fields.

Answering a question on what the goal of Sangh is, he said that making Bharat as the greatest, noblest nation in the world is the goal of Sangh. Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, Sunil ji Ambekar also participated in the press meet.
